Children's Mental Health Week
What a great week we have had in school, celebrating Children's Mental Health Week. There have been some great discussions around what mental health is and how we can keep happy and healthy. The children have also refelcted on how we can make our academy a great place to belong and the small gestures that help everyone to feel included. Class teachers and Miss Flisher have also been impressed with the homework tasks that have come in across the week. From posters to slides shows and muscial performances, it was lovely to see such individuality and learn more about each individual.
There were some great pieces of art work depicting where children belong, in and out of school.
Thank you and well done to everyone who created a project at home to show us where you special place is where you belong. There were some brilliant videos, slide shows and posters that came in on Google Classroom and in person. All entries received a housepoint!
Some of our Year 5's took Children's Mental Health Week down to Invicta Court, to join the residents in some art based activities. Both residents and children enjoyed coming together making Valentines Day themed art work.
