A. Handwriting - letters
Below is a Letter Writing Manuscript file you can use to print out at home practice pages. If your child has poor letter writing skills, you may be asked to work with your student using these "Handwriting Manuscripts". These manuscripts will help students who are having difficulty writing their letters correctly. The manuscript has arrows which show the pencil stroke directions required to write the letters correctly. If your student has difficulty writing letters correctly (including writing them backwards or off the lines) use these manuscripts to provide assistance.
B. Handwriting - numbers
Below you will see there is a number trace manuscript you can use as well.
C. Writing Paper
In our class we use a "Landscape" 15 line writing paper for our "Final Write". I have used it for years and found it a very effective stepping stone to higher level writing. There is a "sloppy copy" version (to be added soon)of it as well that allows room for "corrections" and is the starting point for writing in our class. Both papers are provided below.
D. Writing Organizer
Our class uses a writing organizer we call the "Hamburger Organizer". When you look at it, you will see why. The visual "link" of writing being "whole" (like a hamburger) helps students to remember the core pieces to incorporate into strong writing.
