Below are links to resources that will help your student improve their phonemic awareness and fluency. 1. The CVC worksheets/sounds are to help the student identify the individual letter sounds that comprise a word. The student should fill in the boxes as they correctly identify the letter that makes the correct sound. They should then write each word on the lower line two times. For fun they can color in the pictures which will help them with fine motor skills. 2. letter sounds are a resource tool that can be used to help students correctly identify the sound that a letter makes. The pictures reflect a sound that logically each letter might make. While holding the cards without the student seeing the picture, say the name of the letter. After saying the name of the letter, then show the picture to the student and make the correct sound (using the picture to help the student make a connection to the correct sound). Do this daily and watch how fast your student learns their letter sounds. 3. The "Site Words" link will provide you with resources that can help a student improve their fluency and reading levels. 4. The "Reading Levels" list will help keep your student reading successfully by having them read books at their "level". If a child has a book that is too hard for them to read it may likely cause them to give up on reading. They internalize that they aren't good at reading. It is very important to have a child read books they will be successful at. The reading list will help you make this happen.
