Quizlet is a mobile and web-based study application that allows students to study information via learning tools and games. Its creators claim that it is currently used by two-thirds of high school students and half of the university students in the United States. Quizlet trains students via flashcards and various games and tests. As of February 6, 2019, Quizlet has over 300 million user-generated flashcard sets and more than 50 million active users
In our class Quizlet is used for building vocabulary development and is a critical need for these students. Many of the students in our class speak more than one language and as such are very often deficient in their
English vocabulary in comparison to their only English speaking peers. They have a critical need to build their English vocabulary with the purpose of being better communicators, readers, and speakers. Quizlet
is a must in our class and is available free at Quizlet.com. It is also available free at The App Store / The Play Store. Please make sure your child is investing their time in this critical free resource.
It will be required as homework, and is part of our regular Distance Learning Program.
