Our Governor-Led Nursery at Barlby Bridge School offers both full-time and part-time places for children aged 3 and 4. We provide a warm, nurturing and play-based environment where children can begin their learning journey in a familiar primary school setting.
As a nursery in the Selby and Barlby area, we are able to offer flexible childcare options, including access to our popular wraparound care, which runs from 7:30am until 6:00pm. This makes our nursery a great option for working parents looking for reliable childcare and early education in Selby.
We accept both 15-hour and 30-hour funding codes. Extra hours can also be paid for if you have a 15-hour code but want your child to attend more sessions. Families can choose from the following attendance patterns:
Mornings only – 15 hours
Full days – 30 hours
Monday morning to Wednesday lunchtime – 15 hours
Wednesday lunchtime to Friday afternoon – 15 hours
Our Nursery operates two daily sessions:
Morning session: 8:45am – 11:45am
Afternoon session: 12:15pm – 3:15pm
If you would like your child to use our wraparound care alongside their nursery sessions, more information can be found on our Wraparound Care page.
All three and four-year-olds are entitled to a free early education place before they reach statutory school age (the beginning of the school term following their fifth birthday). At Barlby Bridge, we admit children into our Nursery from the school term after their third birthday.
If you are looking for a nursery or childcare place in Selby, we would be delighted to show you around. For more information, or to arrange a visit to our Nursery, please contact our school office.
