Admissions

We are delighted that you are considering Barlby Bridge School for your child. We are a friendly, one-form entry primary school and nursery serving families in Barlby, Barlby Bridge and the wider Selby area.

We warmly welcome prospective families to visit Barlby Bridge School. Visits can be arranged with the Headteacher, who will be delighted to show you around our classrooms, nursery and outdoor spaces, and explain what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow. We are currently in the unique position of having spaces available in every year group from Nursery through to Year 6. Reception Admissions

We are currently accepting applications for children starting Reception in September 2026, and places are filling quickly. Admissions for children of Reception age and above are managed centrally by North Yorkshire Council. Parents and carers can call the admissions team on 01609 533679, or visit the North Yorkshire school admissions webpage to access further information and complete an online application form.

Below you will also find North Yorkshire Council’s proposed 2027/28 admission arrangements, which they are legally required to share with parents for consultation.
