Hi! I'm Sequena. As the Director of Afterschool Achievement, I manage both YES and High Achievers which are grant sponsored programs of Georgia College. I have over 20 years of service at Georgia College and over 16 years of experience managing grant sponsored programs in respect to compliance, fiscal and staff management. Youth programs are my passion because I love to help people strive to reach their full potential.

Shekita Shinholster
I am Shekita Shinholster, the YES Education Coordinator as well as an 8th-grade teacher at Oak Hill Middle School. I am a graduate of Baldwin High School, Class of 2005. I have six years of teaching experience and am certified in Middle School Math and Science. I obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching from Georgia College & State University and plan to pursue further educational opportunities in the future.
My goal as the Education Coordinator is to work with the students, teachers, parents, and all other stakeholders to ensure the success of our students. I pride myself on effectively focusing on the whole child and establishing a common ground to meet their needs, academically and socially.
With this goal as my guide, I am looking forward to working with all stakeholders and having a fun and successful year ahead.

Alicia Johnson
I am extremely thrilled to be able to work the children of our community. Being a proud BHS graduate, I am dedicated to helping our children be the very best they can be. I have been teaching in Baldwin County for the past 16 years. I taught math at Oak Hill for 10 years and this will be my seventh year teaching math at Baldwin High.
I am passionate about education. To be a successful educator requires one to be a lifelong learner in and out of the classroom.

Ms. Scott is currently an 8th-grade Social Studies teacher at OHMS. She has over 15 years of experience working with children and has been involved with the YES program for more than five years. she believes that effective teaching begins with bringing a positive attitude, an open mind, and high expectations into the classroom each day, fostering an environment where students can thrive and succeed." In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Angela Brantley
Mrs. Brantley has been employed with the Baldwin County school system for 26 years. She has worked with many students from grades 3rd-8th. She has worked as a Media Clerk for 14 plus years. She has worked with the YES Program for 14 years. She enjoys working with the brilliant minds and personalities of each and every child she endures every day. Which is why she Loves what she does.
Shantel Byrd
Ms. Byrd is an educator dedicated to continuous learning, with a decade of experience collaborating with children. She possess three certifications recognized in the state of Georgia: a certification in Orton-Gillingham, a literacy endorsement, and a certification in the Sonday system, which also focuses on literacy development. Additionally, she has received training in the UFLI literacy program. In her educational approach, she places a strong emphasis on the unique needs and preferences of each student. By creating a supportive and adaptive learning environment, she encourages students to actively engage in and take ownership of their own learning journey. This method not only empowers them to explore their interests but also fosters a sense of accountability and independence in their educational pursuits.
Paige Jenkins
Ms. Jenkins graduated from Young Harris College in 2013 with my Bachelors Degree in Music Education. She has been teaching 12 years with the last 8 years at Oak Hill Middle School. She currently teachers 6th grade science. She believes all students are able to learn and I look forward to seeing them be successful!
Ian LeFranc
My name is Ian B. LeFranc M.Ed.,M.Engr. and I’m a graduate of Northeastern University, Georgia College and State University, and Georgia Tech. As a teacher of mathematics, my teaching philosophy is based upon quantitative methods tempered by a qualitative approach in math where students are encouraged to master proper syntax with strong numeracy as a foundational base.
Angelia Liggins
Mrs. Liggins proudly serve as an educator in the Y.E.S. program and teaches English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies at Oak Hill Middle School. Her educational journey began in the Baldwin County School District, where she completed her studies and graduated from Baldwin High School. As she entered her 18th year of teaching in this district, she reflects on the growth and experiences that have shaped her career.
Her primary objective as an educator is to empower students to learn, develop, and achieve success, equipping them for a bright future. She is passionate about creating an environment that nurtures a love for learning, encouraging curiosity and engagement in every student. Through her teaching, she aims to inspire students to reach their full potential and prepare them for the challenges ahead.

Mrs. Grable has been an educator for six years, all within the Baldwin County School District. She has also spent three years as an assistant basketball coach for both girls and boys. In her free time, she enjoys family time, traveling, and exploring new experiences. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes building personal connections with students to create a positive and safe learning environment, ensuring she is remembered as a trusted and supportive role model.
Nanda Negandhi
Ms.Negandhi has been teaching Language Arts/English at Oak Hill Middle School for over twenty years. She loves to travel. She spends much of my summers and vacations traveling to different countries. She has had the privilege of traveling to eight different countries!
Besides traveling, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and shopping.

Troy Nelson
Mr. Nelson is a certified high school math teacher with a Specialist in Secondary Ed. Mathematics. This is his 14th year in education and second as a math and science instructional coach at BHS. His philosophy is that students can be successful if they have the right teachers to provide them with a solid foundation.

Ms. Randall has been an educator for 20 years, and she has been a Baldwin Brave for the last 5. She is certified in both Art and ELA and enjoys teaching both. She enjoys working on art projects with the YES students and she can’t wait to see what we create in the future.
