Spring into Spring with freshly made pottery flowers! YES students are leaning how to make basic to extravagant spring flowers with Ms. Greene!
YES Student Incentives!
Gym time is the #1 academic incentive to motivate our students to meet or exceed their IReady goals!
Each YES student has a punch card and gets new punches for displaying positive behavior throughout YES! As students get 10 punches (a full card) they get to choose a treat from the "Treat Box"!
The YES Program is partnering with Oak Hill Middle School's IReady Initiative to help students strengthen their literacy skills. Ms. Byrd and Mrs. Negandhi will be working with students who are one year behind grade level in the area of reading comprehension. Every Tuesday and Wednesday they will incorporate hands on, interactive literacy lessons to help engage our students to strengthen their passion in literacy.
GCSU sent the YES Leadership team to the Beyond School Hours Conference in New Orleans. It was a HUGE Success!!

What is the i-Ready Diagnostic?
The i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that adjusts its questions for each student. As a student answers correctly, the questions get more difficult. As a student answers incorrectly, the questions get easier. This adaptability allows the i-Ready Diagnostic to identify the strengths and opportunities for growth of each student.
Why is my student taking it?
The purpose of the i-Ready Diagnostic is not to give your student a grade but instead to determine how best to support their learning. It will help your student’s teacher(s) determine their needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the year.
