With origami, students build creativity, confidence, patience, and problem-solving skills through fun origami challenges. Every fold teaches students to grow, overcome challenges, achieve goals, try again, and succeed!

The G.O.A.T.S of YES - Origami Edition

Ms. Jenkins

Students will participate in various origami art activities. The things they create will be based around the theme for YES: The Goats of Yes. This enrichment will have students exploring their creative side through the making of origami goats. 

The G.O.A.T.S of Apprenticeship Brainia

Mrs. Brantley and Mrs. Negandhi

Leadership Apprenticeship introduces the students to how to be a responsible, independent person.  Engaging in Leadership skills and enabling them to focus and work as a Team. Allowing them to be successful in Business skills and Management.  Identifying what it means to be a Leader for oneself and understanding Leadership Roles in a Community Context. 

Designers and Entrepreneurs

This enrichment will help students become self-sufficient by using their talent to become small business owners. They can show teachers and students their abilities to create and profit from their designers. We will make pillows, design shirts, and make jewelry.

A place for middle schoolers to recharge, connect, and have fun! We mix a little gaming with hands-on projects, creative challenges, and activities that spark teamwork, problem-solving, and imagination. Our goal is to help students unwind after the school day while building friendships, confidence, and new educational skills in a fun and supportive environment. 

TIKTOK: The Creator Shop

The Creator Lab: TikTok & Beyond is an exciting afterschool enrichment where middle school students become digital creators! Students explore video creation, trends, storytelling, photography, skits, dance, podcasting, branding, and editing while strengthening ELA, Math, Science, creativity, teamwork, and digital citizenship skills. Students will create, collaborate, and inspire as they turn their ideas into fun, positive, and engaging projects.

The G.O.A.T.S of Y.E.S - Gamers Edition

Mrs. Liggins and Ms. Lamar

This enrichment provides middle school students with opportunities to participate in board games, card games, interactive games, digital games, and outdoor sports. Through friendly competition and cooperative play, students will strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and social skills. The program promotes positive peer interactions, good sportsmanship, and a sense of community while providing students with a fun and engaging environment to connect with others.

G.O.A.T.S Investigators

The G.O.A.T.S. (Great Opportunities Advancing Tomorrow’s Scientists) is an engaging afterschool enrichment program designed to introduce middle school students to the exciting world of forensic science. Students will become G.O.A.T.S. investigators as they explore how science, mathematics, and critical thinking are used to solve mysteries and analyze evidence.

Through interactive lessons, hands-on laboratory investigations, mystery challenges, and collaborative problem-solving activities, students will collect and analyze evidence such as fingerprints, DNA models, handwriting, fibers, footprints, chromatography samples, and other forensic clues.

Game ON! Math, Mission, Mayhem

Join Ms. Greene for GAME ON! Math, Missions & Mayhem, where students will play games, solve exciting math challenges, complete team missions, build creative projects, and compete in friendly tournaments. Come ready to think, create, collaborate, and have fun!

The Goated Athletes of YES

This enrichment will help student-athletes develop the academic habits, confidence, organization, study skills, and accountability needed to become successful students while balancing athletics.

The program uses short-term goals, progress monitoring, reflection, and practical executive-functioning skills. These approaches are especially useful for middle school students who are learning to manage multiple classes, assignments, activities, and responsibilities.

The G.O.A.T.S of AI Filmmaking

Students will explore their creativity by using artificial intelligence to develop characters, write stories, create images, and produce short movies. Through fun, hands-on projects, students will strengthen their storytelling, teamwork, problem-solving, and technology skills while bringing their ideas to life on screen.
