Getting ready for winter break!

YES parent night was a huge success! If you missed it you missed out on some serious prizes! Families had the opportunity to experience several different enrichment stations, learn about different programs, as well as meet and greet with teachers over dinner, not to mention all the raffle items that were given away!

Parent engagement is a requirement for our funding! If you were unable to attend please make sure to attend the next parent event in April!

Our lights on afterschool event was a huge success! Our teachers worked with their classes to decorate our hallways with extra large lightbulbs. These lightbulbs are a visual representation of the enormous impact that the YES program has on the students at Oak Hill Middle.

Our afterschool programs make a difference for the kids, families & communities they serve every day. But across the country, for every child who gets to participate in an afterschool program, four more are waiting to get in. If you think every kid deserves access, join us to celebrate #LightsOnAfterschool! 

We had a great start this year with over 100 students participating during the first two weeks of the program! Going into September we will definitely be on a waiting list due to the number of enrolled students. 

The YES Staff has mainly focused on academics this month, establishing good study habits, creating a positive environment for homework help, as well as teaching students to be self advocates.  

The transportation department has been phenomenal with their flexibility and dilegency regarding making sure our students make it home safely!
