Oak Hill's YES Program partnered with the GCSU's High Achievers Program to celebrate Lights on Afterschool!
Celebrate the 25th annual Lights On Afterschool Oct. 24, 2024!
Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities. The effort has become a hallmark of the afterschool movement and generates media coverage across the country each year.
The Afterschool Alliance organizes Lights On Afterschool to draw attention to the many ways afterschool programs support students by offering them opportunities to learn new things—such as science, community service, robotics, Tae Kwon Do, and poetry—and discover new skills. The events send a powerful message that millions more kids need quality afterschool programs.

YES Relationships!
Peer tutoring is critical!
Due to the tremendous turnout this month we have almost reached our maximum number of participants. Once we reach our maximum number we will start a waiting list.
THIS IS WHERE ATTENDANCE IS CRITICAL!
Students that are not attending consistently will be removed from the program and we will start accepting students who are on the waiting list. After 5 days you will receive an email regarding an attendance warning. After 10 days we will notify you that your child will no longer be able to participate in the YES program due to lack of attendance.

The Baldwin County Transportation Department has been working daily to ensure that we have bus routes that include all after school students.
Please make sure that you update your address with the bus garage as well as the YES staff as soon as you know that there is a change.
