Varsity golf player and co-captain of the golf team? Ashley McKinney is this and more as only a sophomore.
Overall, McKinney averages 50 for nine holes and always does her best. McKinney is an “energy booster” and a “great leader,” say Rylie Burger and Sandra Janakievski, both close friends and teammates of McKinney.
“Ashley as a teammate is a great benefactor for all of us,” says Burger. “She helps our team’s score turn out low in the end, and her score, personally, is always really good. She’s super positive and always lifts the team’s spirit.”
As co-captain of the golf team, she is a great leader and is filling her role not only as a teammate, but as a leader.
McKinney wishes to play golf at The University of Indiana in Bloomington, Indiana if she had the choice of a college to play at.
Burger and Janakievski describe McKinney's golf game as a “ fairway golfer, and she does her best best from the tee box.”
Overall as a teammate and a friend, they both touch on how McKinney cares for everyone no matter what and tries to help people with their golf game and their personal problems too.
