New Year’s Day is always the start of millions of resolutions across the country, but not all of us can keep up with them throughout the year.
At Badin alone, only 17 percent of people have kept a resolution for the whole year. The saying, “New Year, New me” always seems to fall apart about two weeks into the year when lack of motivation seems to set in.
“The hardest part is that I’m still the same person in the New Year so it’s hard to find motivation to get started and then keep up with resolutions,” said Tracy Fields.
Everyone thinks that the New Year is going to change you but you have to keep working on it and not give up. There are many obstacles you face while trying to keep your resolutions.
“When school starts after break it’s much harder to stay focused on school and try to do my resolutions with everything else I have going on,” said Fields.
Although in the end, keeping up with your resolutions may become hard but it is important that you keep trying to better yourself throughout the year.
“Just stay motivated, and it may get hard but you have to have the will power and try to surround yourself with goodness,” said Fields.
