ASU Searcy Information

A deserving student from each high school in our recruiting area may be awarded a tuition scholarship for the coming academic year. This scholarship will cover tuition charges (fees are not included) for any Full Time, Certificate –Granting Program.

THE DEADLINE FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS APRIL 1, 2021! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AND QUALIFY, YOU MUST SEE ME.

To be eligible for the ASU-Beebe, Searcy Campus Scholarship, the applicant must:

    1. Meet the entrance requirements for the specific program in which they are enrolling.

    2. Have been enrolled in at least one vocational course during grades 9-12.

    3. Have a high school cumulative 2.0 GPA.

    4. Plan to enroll in a full-time program at ASU-Beebe’s Searcy Campus leading to the receipt of a technical certificate.

    5. Maintain minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for renewal of the scholarship for subsequent semesters.

    6. Each high school will be responsible for choosing the student who will be awarded this scholarship. Please use the attached form to notify ASU-Beebe, Searcy Campus of the recipient. Notification should be sent to us prior to each high school’s graduation date and award ceremony. This scholarship is non-transferable and must be used within the first school year after the student graduates from high school.

    7. THE FOLLOWING MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE SCHOLARSHIP CAN BE AWARDED:

    8. An admission application must be completed online at www.asub.edu.

    9. We must have a 7 semester transcript (an 8 semester transcript will be required after graduation), a copy of ACT scores (if applicable), and immunization records.

    10. An Accuplacer placement test (If student does not have ACT scores.)

“Transforming Lives Through Quality Learning Experiences”

The main focus of ASU Searcy is technical education. They have programs under the Occupational Technology division that consists of Air Conditioning, Auto Body Repair, Automotive Technology, Computerized Machining, Diesel Technology, Power Sports, and Welding Technology. Programs in the Business division are Health Information Assistant and Office Occupations. Programs under Allied Health are EMT/Paramedics and Practical Nursing.
