The basic cost is $52 for the non-writing ACT; $68 for the ACT Plus Writing. If you register late, that fee is an additional $30. Our high school code is 040-145. Our test center code is 198980. If you want to test here on BHS's campus, you must put in that test center code. If it is full, you will be directed to find an alternate testing site. You must also use your Social Security Number in order for ACT to communicate your scores to the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship system. You must pay with a credit card or fee waiver in order to register online. Otherwise, you must register by mail.
ACT registration procedures include uploading or submitting a photo id at registration. If you do not have a photo id, such as a driver's license, see me and we will complete an identification letter that must have your picture and a school person's signature on it.
Those students who receive free or reduced lunches are eligible to use a fee waiver twice during their junior and senior years. However, you cannot use the fee waiver to pay the late fee. If you are under 18 and want to use a fee waiver, I must have the Disclosure Form completed and signed by your parent or guardian. You may upload that form from the page, found below. The waiver does not cover a late fee. Please allow enough time for this process, at least three days.
Standby ACTs are given on a first come, first serve basis. To do this, register on www.actstudent.org with the standby fee of $55 plus the regular fee of $52 (No Writing). Arrive no later than 7:30 at the testing site. If there is an open seat available, you may be able to test. If there is not, your fee will be refunded.
