Certificated and classified staff get evaluated each year. Both the Site Director and Assistant Site Director will observe and evaluate staff.
Evaluation Process for Instructional/Certificated Staff -
At the beginning of the school year, instructional staff will meet with the Site Director and Assistant Site Director to review the evaluation process and to set professional goals for the school year.
In the late fall formal observation cycles will begin. This process consists of a pre-meeting, an observation and a post-observation meeting. A formal observation cycle may be conducted in the spring as well depending on the needs of individual instructional staff.
In the spring formal evaluating meetings will be had with all instructional/certificated staff. The Human Resources department tentatively sends out work agreements for the next school year in the late spring.
The Site Director and the Assistant Site Director (along with any other support staff/Director Team member) will conduct informal observations and have coaching conversations throughout the year as needed. Staff are encouraged to reach out to the Director Team for help, to get questions answered and for support as often as they need to.
Evaluation Process for Classified Staff -
In the spring formal evaluating meetings will be had with all classified staff. The Human Resources department tentatively sends out letters of reasonable assurance for the next school year in the late spring. Please note that 12 month employees do not receive work agreements or letters of reasonable assurance. Your employment rolls over from year to year unless otherwise communicated from the Site Director and/or Human Resources.
