During the school week, all ASL and AISA students attend enrichment classes. One week students will attend art class and the next week students will attend garden/culinary arts class. Students rotate through art or garden/culinary arts classes receiving approximately two art and two garden/culinary arts classes per month.
Art is taught by Ms. Shannon Hunt. Shannon is also our After School Camp Director, Summer Camps Coordinator and co-5th Grade Leadership Council Advisor.
Garden/culinary arts is taught by Ms. Arlynn Page. Arlynn is also our Healthy Living Coordinator, working in this role across both of our campuses, Aveson School of Leaders and Aveson Global Leadership Academy.
Enrichment classes for the 2023-2024 school year will start the week of September 11th. Advisors should follow the enrichment schedule to know when their class is scheduled to attend art or garden/culinary arts.

Advisor Expectations During Enrichment:
Advisors are expected to send their IA to enrichment classes. Advisors should check in with Shannon and Arlynn to determine which class they should support.
While students are in enrichment, advisors are expected to use this time for collaboration with each other. A minimum of 30-45 minutes of collaboration time is expected before advisors may engage in their own personal planning time. Suggested advisor collaboration topics:
Lesson planning
SST, 504, IEP notes
Weekly ParentSquare newsletters
Joint parent communication
Student concerns
Analyzing data to drive small group instruction
