Each student will learn and apply visual hierarchy to and minimalism in an original musical poster of their own design.
In this project, students learned about visual hierarchy, specifically hierarchy of font. They also learned about minimalist poster design and how to combine these two concepts into a musical poster.
Students were given the option of creating a poster for a play or musical of their choice. They could choose to redesign an existing poster for a play or make one up, as long as it includes the following information:
The title of the play in big font
Where to go to see the play (a specific location)
What day(s) the play is performing on
A creative tag line/quote that gets us interested in the play
OPTIONAL: Who is starring in the play
If they made the poster for the Annie, Jr. Play competition they needed this information:
