Safety Escort Service:

Free service that will take you safely anywhere on the Tempe campus at the press of a button.


Hours of Operation: 7 days a week from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Service is closed during winter break and limited hours during Fall/Spring/Summer break from 7 to 10 p.m.


Call ASU Police at 480-965-3456 for safety escort at Downtown, Polytechnic and West campuses, or during off-hours.

Emergency Options

  • Send an emergency 911 text or call ASU Police dispatch.
  • Alert personal emergency contacts in times of distress.

GoSafe

  • Activate SafeWalk and text with your friends or family during your trip as they view your progress on a map. Deactivate SafeWalk after your trip.
  • Request a ride from the student-run Safety Escort Service.

Alerts and Advisories

Advisory messages are not life-threatening and may include campus incidents such as a power outage or a water leak. Using active geofence location, advisories target specific areas where an incident is occurring. To receive these advisories, enable location services on your smartphone.

Emergency call boxes - Emergency phones marked with a bright blue light are located in parking lots and high traffic areas on all ASU campuses. Instructions on how to use call boxes are on the boxes or, for more information, see the ASU Police manual.
