Dr. Asma Azizi is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the MCMSC at Arizona State University. She is an Applied Mathematician, researching the mathematical modeling of infectious disease to help public health researchers better understand the spread of disease and optimizes mitigation resource. She uses computer simulations, mathematical modeling, and analysis to better understand the transmission dynamics of disease, depending on epidemiological parameters for the transmission mechanism and on the complex heterogeneous mixing involved in the transmission process.
