The Senior Academic Portfolio is your high school life story, as you would like it told to colleges and universities. It should be prepared early in your senior year so that you can use it when filling out college and scholarship applications and when being interviewed. You may include life events prior to your high school career; however, this part of your book will NOT count toward your score.
Scrapbooks are Due October 18, 2025. Digital Scrapbooks are accepted. However, physical books are preferred.
There will be an early check for scrapbooks on September 7th. You should have 4 sections completed.
Please slowly/carefully record and submit the completed pages using the form below. (10pts)
SCRAPBOOK CONTENT (max. 165 pts)
Title Page (5pts)
Include your name, name of your school and recent picture of yourself.
Table of Contents (5pts)
Create a table of contents that lists all the sections included in your portfolio.
Senior Class Profile (5pts)
Class Enrollment, Your Class Rank
Activities and Awards (5pts)
Include any recognition, awards and certificates. (Anything and Everything that you were given or collected throughout high school) Documents and proof of activities are necessary for this section. Organize them according to the year that you received the awards
(e.g. Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior years).
College Information and Acceptances (15pts)
This section should contain your research from the different Colleges and Universities you plan to attend; investigate all aspects of the institution you are interested in. You must also include copies of your college applications, essays and recommendations. Include a profile of each of the Colleges / Universities to which you have applied. Use the Internet to obtain these profiles or any other source containing college profiles. As soon as you receive acceptance letters, file them in this section. Acceptance letters will net bonus points not to exceed 5pts.
Additional Community Service (10pts)
Include community service or workshops for growth and development external to the Debutante Process. (Any and all community service completed at school, church, community, etc. that was not a part of the Debutante Process)
Major and Career Interests (10pts)
Include information about college majors that you are considering studying while in school, as well as, possible careers that you are interested in after you graduate from your College/University. Include your rationale for why you are choosing those specific career paths. For example - You are studying Nursing because you aspire to be a Neonatal Nurse.
Resume (10pts)
A resume is a very important part of your portfolio. Be sure to update your resume when necessary. Your teachers, counselors, administrators and employers use your resume as a guide for writing your Letter of Recommendation to prospective Colleges and Universities. The resume is also used when applying for Grants and Scholarships.
Family Pictures/Pictures of Role Models (10pts)
Your village is individuals or groups of people that have helped support and guide you throughout your life. Include pictures of your family and/or role models who have influenced you and positively impacted your life journey thus far.
Debutante Sponsored Activity (15pts)
This section is for highlighting the specific Debutante Activity you planned and executed for your fellow Debutantes in the Debutante Program. You should highlight the purpose of your activity, the planning process, and the impact or end result of your activity.
Debutante Scholarship Program Highlights (50pts)
This section is available to highlight your six-month process during the 2023 Debutante Scholarship Program. This section should creatively express all materials from the Mother/Daughter Tea, workshops, and community service projects through the Debutante Pearl Ceremony.
Letter to yourself (25pts)
You will write a letter to yourself reflecting on your debutante experience, what you learned, and what was most impactful. In your letter, give yourself advice for your future endeavors.
