WELCOME TO THE 2025 DEBUTANTE PROGRAM

We are pleased that you have joined us for the 2025 Debutante Season. We sincerely look forward to taking this journey with you as you prepare for your place in society. Our deepest hope is that this experience will significantly enrich your life and help you grow in pursuing higher education and becoming a leader in today’s modern world. 

For over 35 years, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ®, Xi Theta Omega Chapter, and the Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education have provided college scholarships to deserving young ladies, such as yourself, through the Debutante Program.

This six-month program is designed to provide a broad range of social, personal, and educational enrichment as you learn to successfully transition into the next stage of your high school and college career. You will receive exemplary hands-on and hybrid training from accomplished professional instructors in health and wellness, leadership development, college preparation, personal branding, and etiquette. This process will also allow you to give back to the community through various community service projects. 

We hope you fully immerse yourself in all the Debutante Program offers. In addition to the fabulous workshops, you are expected to participate in a Mother/Daughter Tea, the Debutante Pearl Ceremony, community service activities, attend the YES Summit, and learn many fabulous dance routines that will serve you well throughout your life. 

This reference guide includes the vital information you will need to complete the Debutante process. Please thoroughly review the information with your parents or guardian, and don’t hesitate to contact our VP of Scholarships should you have questions. The highlight of this program is, of course, the signature event where you will be presented during the 2025 Winter Emerald and Gold Scholarship Ball and Debutante Presentation on Saturday, November 15, 2025. We look forward to seeing you in November as you are formally presented to society.

The Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education Debutante program is designed to encourage young women to strive to ACHIEVE their hopes, dreams, goals, and aspirations, while making them feel CONFIDENT and BEAUTIFUL inside and out! We believe the true definition of beauty is “the unique set of combinations that make you YOU!”

We focus on empowerment, promoting positive self-image and advocating a platform of community service, which allows our participants to elevate themselves by lifting others. But more importantly, we are an elite sisterhood that gives support and encouragement to inspire each debutante to be the best version of herself!

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Is a high school senior.

2. Is a U.S. citizen or has been granted Permanent Residency by the United States.

3. Is a natural-born female.

4. Has never posed nude in film or print media.
5. Is single, unmarried, has never been married & has never given birth.
