All participants must have a 2.75 or higher G.P.A. on a 4.0 grade scale.
A Debutante is required to exhibit acceptable behavior. (Examples of unacceptable behaviors include, but are not limited to, fighting, expulsion from school, using or dealing drugs, gang-related activities, pregnancy, using profanity, negative social media postings, etc.)
The debutantes' conduct should be positive and ladylike at all times. This means refraining from attending adult functions such as nightclubs and adult formal dances, which do not include school functions. Remember, debutantes are being presented to society. Let the impressions you leave be favorable. Any debutante showing disrespect for herself or others shall be banned from participation in the Ball and will not receive a refund.
Debutantes who fail to submit the minimum requirement of $2,325 in ad sales, fundraising, or sponsorships (by the end of the competition) will forfeit the right to participate in the debutante presentation.
The Debutantes registration fee is NOT refundable.
Sponsorships and contributions reported by participants are not refundable.
Debutantes and their sponsors SHALL NOT hold fundraisers in the name of The Arlington Education for Excellence in Education, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Xi Theta Omega Chapter, or Debutante Program.
If a debutante can only attend a portion of a workshop session, she will only receive partial attendance for that session.
Debutantes with excessive absences from dance practice will not participate in the debutante waltz.
Debutantes who have not submitted the items below to the Foundation by the start of dance rehearsals will not be able to attend rehearsals until these items have been submitted.

Standard of Conduct for all Participants
All participants in the Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education Debutante Program, including Debutantes, Escorts and Parents or Parent Figures, are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner at all times while interacting with Foundation members and with each other, and shall refrain from communicating in a way that is disrespectful, demeaning, intimidating or harassing.
Any violation of this standard of conduct will be communicated to the parents of the associated Debutante in writing. Violations of this standard of conduct may result in disciplinary actions at the sole discretion of the Foundation. Those disciplinary actions may include the deduction of scoring points and/or dismissal from the AFEE Debutante Program. No refunds will be made in the event of dismissal from the Debutante Program.
As debutantes, you are expected to be charming, graceful, well-groomed and modestly dressed. This includes hair, make-up, nails, underarms and the general appearance of the debutante. Extreme hair coloring is not acceptable. All tattoos must be covered. Only a single piercing per ear may be evident. The cooperation of each debutante and her parents will help to make this a memorable occasion. If you have any questions regarding appropriate dress, please discuss them with your mentor, Dean of Debutante or VP-Scholarship.

Communication
Communication-related to the 2025 Debutante and Scholarship program will primarily occur through electronic mediums, such as Google Forms or Jotforms, email, GroupMe, or other channels. Each debutante and her parent/guardian should have a valid email address. In addition, Debutantes are required to respond to messages sent from committee members via Groupme, Email, or private Instagram. Like/love an image or message is adequate to inform us that you received the information.
