Mother & Daughter Tea

Set Up Time: 11am - 1pm

Event Time: 3pm-5pm | Breakdown Time: 5:30pm

Location: Ruthe Jackson Center, 3113 S. Carrier Pkwy,  Grand Prairie, TX 75052

The information below will ensure that this occasion is fun and momentous for you all!

• Tea Attire: Fascinator, hat, gloves, dress, or skirt/blouse ensemble. Fascinators or hats are mandatory for Debutantes and Mother or Mother Figure

• Tributes: Debutantes are required to participate in making a special tribute to their mother figure

• Themed Table Decor: Each Debutante will decorate their table based on a M.E.T. Gala icon. "Memories.Etched.Together"

• Contests: There will be prizes awarded for the categories of best table decor and best dressed

• Scoring System: 2025 MDT Table Decor & Best Dressed Scoring Guidelines 

We know you will enjoy this rich experience as we Reign in Radiance. Debutantes' and mothers'/mother figures' tickets are accounted for; however, an RSVP is still required for the Mother and Daughter Tea.

High Tea Awards

Best Table Decor

Decorate the table with a centerpiece and accents representing the Debutante's chosen icon. An image of each Queen will be provided for the table.

• Use decor that represents your selected icon (screenwriters, actresses, filmmakers, models, fashion designers, artists, producers, podcasters, entertainers)

• Symbols of their artistic works (books, musical instruments, magazines, digital works)

• Use your imagination and represent your icon's legacy (past and present)

• Plates, silverware, drinkware, gold chargers, white napkins are provided

• Judging begins at 1:15 p.m. 

Best Dressed

• Fascinator, hat, hair adornment

• Dress, or skirt/blouse ensemble

• Gloves 

• Changing rooms are available on site

Photos

Debutantes need to provide digital photos of themselves and their Mother/Mother Figure.

Photos due: Monday, June 2, 2025

Photo format: 

• Submit photos as jpg, png, gif or pdf

• Save photos as Debutante's first name, initial of the last name and a descriptor
  (i.e. jessicajbaby)

• High resolution photos. No pixelated, grainy or blurry images

• Full frontal shots. No selfies. No body parts cut off

Photo type: 

• A baby picture

• A current picture

• A current picture with mother figure 

• 3 pictures with your mother figure (through the years)

• 3 pictures of mother figure only

Tributes

Tribute Due: Wednesday, June 4th

• Follow the criteria and format provided 

• Submit a soft copy file that can be edited such as a Word or Google Document

• No pdfs, jpgs, pngs or image files

Tribute Video Recording: Saturday, June 7 & 14, 2025

• Speak loud, clearly and read at a steady pace

• Wear Debutante T-shirt

• Hair style should be conservative 

• Make up should be a day time look

Tea Program

Two Debutantes will be needed on the day of the tea to complete the following: 

• Meditation

• Grace

Tea Tickets

$65 per person

Ticket Sales End: Sunday, June 22nd 11:59p.m.

Debutantes will accrue points for ticket sales. Be sure to instruct guests to select the Debutante's name in the drop down menu to receive credit.
