Have you ever gone to an old building or abandoned house and find yourself wondering what mysterious stories are waiting to be discovered? Or maybe that there was some piece of history that was so obscure it wasn’t talked about? These were the feelings I had when I enrolled at Arcadia University. My curiosity about the Castle and its previous residents drove the creation of my thesis project, "Behind Castle Walls: The Card Game." This original game features the ghost residents of Grey Towers, and it is the task of the players to help the ghosts gather artifacts and figure out the story of their deaths to help them move on.

For many years, the ghosts have gone unnoticed. The only people who seem to know the stories are the members of the “Society of Castle Restoration” and those who have heard a few words from the ghost tours held each October. There are many ghosts and legends that the town of Glenside and Arcadia students alike have not heard. I believe that these small pieces of history play an important part of enriching the Castle and the campus. I want people to have the same chances I have had to appreciate them.

I am a graphic designer who has had a love for history, games, and illustration since I was a kid. With my artwork and game design, I hope to inspire others to find an interest in learning about the past and to find creativity from what they have learned.
