Dallas Steere

My artwork focuses on everyday life and ideally making the viewers look beyond the surface. Most recently, this is through the subject of cats, and using color, light, and space to cause the audience to see them in a light of more than just animals. Color in particular is an important aspect present within my work, as it strives to reflect the world for not exactly how it is visually perceived, but more so how I myself see it. The shades and values present are not an exact replica of what my eye sees, but more of an ideal of my own perceptions.
