Timesheets will be sent to Christine Archibeque in 520 West at APS City Center.
This session was for participants in AIM Pathways who wanted to learn about the compensation changes. This optional session provides the information needed to complete compensation submissions successfully.
APS AIM Pathways Tracker - This does not need to be printed, but must be reviewed in the "Time Spent" section on Tab#2.
Track your AIM Pathways work that takes place outside your duty day and document that time on the AIM Pathways Work Log.
Make sure to complete all sections of the work log or your work log could be sent back.
Once completed, fill in the bottom section of the AIM Pathways Work Log that requests your signatures and to check off the required acknowledgements.
Ensure that you sign work logs with an original signature using colored ink.
Ensure that your Principal signs the work log with an original signature as the supervisor using colored ink. (Melissa Arellano can sign during summertime).
Check the Time Spent Spreadsheet on the AIM Pathways Tracker using your AIM Pathways ID number. Make sure that you are not claiming more than what is listed on that spreadsheet and that you are exceeding the time allocations listed below.
You can also review the tracker on the website linked here.
Once you review the spreadsheet and ensure that everything is complete and in order, send the AIM Pathways Work Log via interoffice mail to Melissa Arellano at City Center, 560W (or hand deliver). Work logs cannot be submitted electronically.
Schools should not submit work logs to payroll directly. They will be returned, and it will delay the process.
This slide deck will guide participants through filling out the AIM Pathways work log.

AIM Pathways VCOP sessions must take place outside of the duty day. Participants cannot be paid for AIM Pathways sessions completed during the duty day.
Participants who have sessions during the duty day will have substitute coverage for two hours. One hour will be allocated for the VCOP session. The other hour will be used to account for any missed prep or lunch, or can be used to work on AIM Pathways online work. No VCOP compensation will be granted to any participant who attends their VCOP during the duty day for any reason.
Attendance for the VCOP sessions will be verified by the APS AIM Pathways team prior to payment.
AIM Pathways allows their sessions to be recorded for viewing later on. If a participant misses a session, they are allowed to view the recording and submit 2-3 takeaways from the video to AIM Pathways and the APS Pathways team if granted permission by their AIM Pathways facilitator. This is allowable for one missed session. If a participant views this video outside of the duty day, they may request .75 hour (45 minutes) of compensation.
Participants are compensated 45 minutes instead of a full hour because VCOP sessions include content review and small group breakout discussions. If a participant views the video in place of attending their session, they miss out on the breakout room activities.
Recording times and submissions will be verified by the APS AIM Pathways team prior to payment.
Some participants may want to view the recording and attend the VCOP session for the same content. You may only be compensated for the recording or attending the VCOP session, not both.
AIM Pathways online work must be worked on outside of the duty day if requesting compensation. Participants cannot be paid for AIM Pathways work completed during the duty day.
Each section has a specific time allocation for compensation. Participants may not request more than the maximum time allocation for a single section. Time cannot be rolled over from one section to another section. The maximum time allocation will be listed on a table on the next page in the second column.
To request the maximum time allocation, a participant must spend at least half of the allotted time on the online platform. The time spent online can then be matched for offline reading and application as long as it does not exceed the maximum time allocation for that section.
Time online will be verified by the APS AIM Pathways team and AIM Pathways staff. Time for reading and application will be self-reported.
You cannot request the full 49 hours for the full AIM Pathways course without submitting specific time for each section.
The table below lists the AIM Pathways online work by section and the maximum amount of time allocated for compensation. Please note that time online will be verified by the APS AIM Pathways team and AIM Pathways staff. Reading and application will be self-reported by the participants on the work log.
Underneath the table are examples of what this could look like when a participant claims compensation for a section.
Participants may request the following for each online section of the AIM Pathways training:

Please remember that the Pre-Course Knowledge Inventory does not require reading/application so it will be the online time only for that allocation.

Here are some examples of how compensation would look. We will use section #16 as an example. Section #16 has a maximum time allocation of 3 hours for compensation.
Participant #1 spends .75 hours (45 minutes) on the online platform and 1.5 hours for reading/application. They may request 1.5 hours in total for Section #16.
Why? - The time spent online can be matched in reading/application up to the maximum time allocation. .75 online and .75 reading/application is equal to 1.5 hours for Section #16.
Participant #2 spends 2 hours online and 1 hour for reading/application. They may request 3 hours in total for Section #16.
Why? - The time spent online can be matched in reading/application up to the maximum time allocation. The maximum amount is 3 hours for Section #16 so if the participant does 2 hours online, they can only claim an additional hour for reading/application.
Participant #3 spends 3 hours online and 1.5 hours for reading/application. They may request 3 hours in total for Section #16.
Why? - The participant has already spent 3 hours online and they cannot exceed the full allocation.
Participant #4 spends 4 hours online and 2.5 hours for reading/application. They may request 3 hours in total for Section #16.
Why? - The participant cannot exceed the full allocation even though they did an extra hour online.
Payment typically takes 4-6 weeks from the time it was sent. This is approximately 2-3 weeks for interoffice mail and processing in the MLSS Department and then another 2-3 weeks for Payroll processing.
Please note that it is not always possible to confirm receipt of your submission, as we receive large volumes of work logs. We will email you if there is an issue.
Delays may occur if guidance is not followed.
If there are any issues with a submission, participants are emailed directly from the APS AIM Pathways team. Please search for a PDF titled “Your Name - AIM Pathways Work Log Issue” as necessary for compensation concerns.
Your documents are immediately sent back to your school site once your issue is processed. The paperwork does not remain at the office site.
Phase 1 for AIM Pathways was our pilot year with NMPED and our four disciplinary literacy schools. If you completed AIM Pathways during the 2024-25 school year, it was the expectation that the school would cover compensation with NMPED Grant funds.
No compensation will be provided to any 2024-25 AIM Pathways work for any reason.
