The start of APEC Roxas Fun Week 2022-2023 has been set for February 13, 2023. Several students from various grade levels and various teams, beginning with the Blue Hawks, White Wolves, Orange Panthers, and Gray Hounds, seated in each corner of the classroom. The program started with a short ceremony: opening prayer (doxology), the national anthem (Bayang Magiliw), and the APEC Schools hymn (Better Each Day), with Ms. Celine Azul and Mr. Bert Javier serving as the hosts. All participants, including the guests, were urged to stand and take part. The emcee interacted with each team to get the momentum and energy up. The crowds quickly roared in support when their team was called together with distinctive banners, posters, props, and costumes. Once more, everyone was instructed to stand up and perform the Zumba (Girl in the Mirror) exercise to help warm everyone’s bodies. Different members from each team took the lead. Later on, Ms. Celine Azul took the lead to announce the sequence of events and venue for the following day.
Mr. and Mrs. APEC Roxas 2022–2023 candidates are in a separate room with Ms. Geraldine Zamora and Mr. John Joseph Reyes. The contenders were practicing their dancing moves and big entrance gestures while some were getting ready and doing makeup. The fans can be heard cheering for and praising the team candidates when they are announced in the main room. The contestants began dancing while grinning as the soundtrack began to play. After then, each contender had an opportunity to make an entertaining and witty introduction to the audience by sharing their motto. Everyone began to applaud as they left, and the hosts helped to re-energize the audience by leading the applause. The hosts created a mini-game called "Bring Me," in which the side that brought the necessary item won. The audience got up and started moving, competing and refusing to lose to one another. White Wolves and Blue Hawks tied to win the mini-game. As soon as the host informed them that they would have a little break and may purchase food from the concessionaire, everyone departed the room quickly while chatting with their own pals. Everyone entered the room after the 30-minute break and was energized because they had just eaten.
The hosts declared that the spelling bee, one of the activities planned by the school personnel and moderated by the Learning Facilitators and Guidance Associate to be impartial, will go forward. Several audience members stayed to see the event, but the majority of them left to practice cheerleading and sports outside the school grounds. The spelling bee includes 3 levels of difficulty: easy, intermediate, and advanced. They were given challenging words that complicated the participants. With 45 points, Daniela (Greyhounds) won the spelling bee and secured the championship. Karen (White Wolves) is in first place with 40 points, Mariann (White Wolves) is in second with 19 points, and Zichri Kish (Blue Hawks) is in third with 14 points. They were permitted to leave after the spelling competition, and Day 1 was deemed to be complete.
