Level 2 Painting is a senior specialist Visual Arts course. You will develop skills in painting techniques and explore different approaches to how paintings can be created . You will also investigate established painting practice to apply to your own work. You will use these skills to create your own body of work in the form of a thematic portfolio.

Level 2 Photography is a senior specialist Visual Arts course. You will learn to use a DSLR camera and how to digitally and physically manipulate photographs. You will also investigate established photography practice to apply to your own work. You will use these skills to create your own body of work in the form of a thematic portfolio. Having your own camera is a bonus, but we do have cameras available.

Level 2/3 Printmaking is a senior specialist Visual Arts course. While the course lends itself well to exploring Māori and Pasifika cultural themes, it is not limited to these contexts. If you enjoy creating imagery, patterns, and designs that you can repeat and develop, Printmaking will suit you. You will develop skills using a range of printmaking techniques such as monoprinting, relief (woodblock or linocut), intaglio etching. You will also investigate established printmaking practice to apply to your own work. You will use these skills to create your own body of work in the form of a thematic portfolio.
