Gateway 200 is a workplace focused programme that provides students with pre-employment knowledge and skills, financial literacy and employability skills. Students will have access to short STAR and Taster courses, Health & Safety training, as well as funded Gateway placements. These give students the opportunity to have work experience in an industry they would like to explore.

Students can apply for courses including Barbering, Building, Mixed Trades, Cafe service, Commercial Cooking, Engineering & Automotive, Animal Care, Health Sciences and Creative Technology. There is also the option for ECE, Environmental Care (through Papa Taiao) and an introduction to Farming and Agriculture. This in-school course is to support students taking a Trades Academy course with their school studies.

Pathways 200 is a programme that helps students to better understand their personal identity, exploring their interests, skills and values and seeing how these may fit into the world of work. The course provides students with a basic understanding of the workplace and their rights and responsibilities, as well as developing their employability skills. Students will have access to short STAR and Taster courses, as well as basic Health & Safety training.
