What is the problem being addressed?

The city of Fairfield was previously in economic decline. With the departure of a local college. The city wanted to expand on its economy.

What was the solution?

• Action: The city created a program that sought to kick start new business and improve older one. To address this problem the city created a network platform for entrepreneurs both existing and new. To achieve this the city and local entrepreneur groups cooperated to create a network that improved currently existing business and upcoming ones.
• People: The city collaborated with local businesses when creating the economic network. This included the entrepreneurs association in Fairfield. Recent graduates were recruited as entrepreneurs.
• Resources: The entrepreneurs association provided funds as well as Fairfield’s department of commerce.
