The Alcester Church House Warm Welcome will close for the foreseeable future at Easter
The last session will be on 1st April 2026.
Since reopening in the new year, Warm Welcome has not served as many people as we had hoped it would, nor have we been able to secure a regular supply of volunteers to ensure smooth running and safety.
We are really grateful for the many people who have joined us since we started in autumn 2023, both volunteers and guests. For the meals we have shared together, the new friends we’ve made, and the many wonderful conversations we’ve had.
Thank you for all you have done in making this a special place.
Everyone is welcome to come and join us at our Warm Welcome on Wednesdays between 11.30am and 3pm.
There are things to do, puzzles, jigsaws, adult colouring books, games… but most people just come to chat.
Coffee, tea and biscuits are available throughout the day. At 1pm we have a light lunch, often soup and bread. You are welcome to stay as long as you like.
Come with a friend or come to make new friends, we would love to see you. Do come and join us!
At 3pm, anyone is welcome to join us for a short reflective moment that we call Soul Space. This can include a prayer or bible reading, but nobody is expected to say anything or join in any more than they wish and all are welcome regardless of background or faith.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We would welcome more volunteers to help with the Warm Welcome at Church House in Alcester.
All you need to do is to make a few teas or coffees and chat to anyone who joins us.
