Researching your family tree? Looking for a Great-, Great-, Great-Grandparent that lived or was buried in one of the Minster Churchyards?
Alcester is a very old Roman town and steeped in history, the churches don't hold the records for more than a few decades. Instead please try the following to help complete and find your family history:
1) Warwick Record Office recordoffice@warwickshire.gov.uk where Alcester parish records are deposited.
2) Search on line ‘Find a Grave’. There are lots of UK cemetery records on line now.
3) Search name and parish on line. (e.g. ‘Garner Great Alne’ responds ‘Nancy Garner born to James Garner - see Ancestry.com’)
4) Publish a Post on Facebook ‘Alcester Community News’ group where someone may pick it up and circulate
