Think about the civilization/country that you have started creating.
What kind of government, resources, culture does your civilization/country have?
Most national anthems are a reflection of their country and their beliefs.
Fill out the lyrics google doc in Lesson 7 on google classroom to brainstorm and write lyrics for your national anthem. Make sure that your lyrics are a reflection of your country/civilization that you are creating. Write at least 4 lines or phrases.
There are many ways that you can create the music for your national anthem depending on the devices that you have at home. Please explore the following options and decide which platform you would like to use to create the music for your national anthem.
To create your anthem, you will create or use at least 1 melodic instrument, 1 rhythmic instrument, and a vocal track of you singing the lyrics.
A melodic instrument is an instrument you could sing with such as a piano, stings, xylophone, guitar, etc.
A rhythmic instrument is an instrument that creates a beat such as drums, shaker, electronic beats, etc.
This is the recommended option if you have an apple device at home. You can use Garageband if you have an iPad or iPhone. Also, if you have a mac computer, you can also use it, but it can be a little bit more confusing to use the computer version. Unfortunately, if you do not have an Apple device at home, this will not be an option for you. For most apple devices (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) Garageband is a free app that can be downloaded in the app store. However, if you have a very old device, it may cost money.
You can use this on most devices because it is based on the internet.
Does not have very many options for different instrument sounds.
Please write an explanation answering these questions. Write a paragraph (5-8 sentences) using complete sentences.
1. Why do your musical decisions make a good national anthem for your country/civilization?
2. How does the mood (instruments & tempo - speed - choices) of the music represents your country/civilization?
3. How do the lyrics relate to your country/civilization?
