Dear AIS Parents & Friends,
Drawing is a kid-tested coping skill proven to help them deal with worries, anxiety, anger and boredom. Drawing and art-making can play an essential role in children's mental wellbeing. Children and youth can work out problems, shift from a disappointing situation to an imaginary world, or chill-out. Drawing can be especially helpful when young children can't find the words to label their feelings. Art-making gives children the tools for self-expression, reflection and creative thinking. It can be a crucial go-to calming skill in anyone's stress buster tool kit. Check into virtual The International Museum of Children's Art.
