Taking a mindful moment helps your child to be more calm, confident, and connected. Mindful activating exercises help to enhance children's concentration to learn new things. Practice mindfulness right when you and your child wake up and during daily routine activities to be mindful every day. Keep mindful practices short and straightforward, and learn to meditate. The calm corner techniques help children to make mindful practices a daily habit. A daily mindful practice routine helps us create new brain connections improving our capabilities to behave in helpful ways to deal with stressful situations.

The EASE activity young children collection are evidence-informed anxiety prevention and resilience-building resources for use with children grades K-3. They use cognitive behavioural strategies to address the thoughts, feelings and behaviours associated with anxiety.

Positive thinking is a very powerful tool. There is a lot of research that confirms that positive thinking and affirmations helps you manage your big emotions. As we experience this new normal, it is helpful to check in with yourself and your children on how everyone is feeling.
Kindly find a list of positive thoughts and affirmations that you can use for yourself or with/for your child. You can pick your favorite 10 and write them down. Read them to yourself every morning and every night.
