Adding/Subtracting Fractions and Using Data
This unit is an extension of Unit 2 and 5. Students will be asked to add and subtract fractions with like and unlike denominators. Students will have to convert to a mixed number is their answer is an improper fraction. Students will also be working with data landmarks again. They will be asked to find the mean, median, mode, range, maximum, and minimum of a set. Students will also have to find the "new" mean if a new data point is added to a set. They will also be introduced to double bars graphs and how to analyze the meaning of the data.
