SEN Resources
How does the school allocate the resources to meet the needs of the SEN students?
All staff are teachers of SEND and receive training to enable them to meet the variety of needs of students in the classroom.
The support available includes:
In-class support from LSAs.
Small group interventions.
Availability of accessible resources and equipment.
Engagement Programmes e.g. PRU, Paget Farm
Exam Access Arrangements
External agency support e.g. Speech and Language Therapists, Autism Outreach, Visual Impairment Team, Hearing Impairment Team etc.
Provision of specialist resources where an identified need is established.
Personalised Learning Centre
In The PLC we help students for a variety of different reasons.
We support students who have a problem learning in a particular subject to integrate back into the classroom.
We support students who need to catch up on coursework.
We support students socially and emotionally.
We support students who may have a medical concern or find it difficult to walk around school due to broken limbs and therefore be unable to do PE.
We will strive to personalise a programme to help the student to achieve their potential and progress with their learning. We may do this within the PLC or by using outside agencies.
