The Science Mastery curriculum at Beacon Academy is a knowledge-rich, coherent curriculum that has been strategically sequenced for maximum success. It builds pupils’ knowledge, embeds opportunities to work scientifically, and nurtures positive attitudes toward Science. 

Knowledge builds sequentially across the three disciplines (physics, biology & chemistry)  with pupils often revisiting an idea or concept in a later unit. An emphasis on learning about scientific processes means pupils gain knowledge of a scientific concept before deepening learning through ‘working scientifically’.
