11th or 12th grade students standing at ACS Athens with exceptional circumstances.
This course is designed to give students the opportunity to learn fitness concepts and conditioning techniques used for obtaining optimal physical fitness through a virtual learning environment. Students will benefit from studying the basic fitness principles and components and by participating in comprehensive weight training and cardiorespiratory endurance activities. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of strength training, aerobic training, and overall fitness training and conditioning. Course includes both virtual instruction through Zoom sessions and asynchronous self-paced physical activity and exercise sessions. Students will be empowered to make wise choices, meet challenges, and develop positive behaviors in fitness, wellness, and movement activity for a lifetime.
