In Year 2 of the DP Psychology course, students will complete and finalize their Internal Assessment research proposal. Students will further develop their understanding of psychology through the study of the remaining two contexts -Health and Well-being and Human Development- while continuing to use the six key concepts (bias, causality, change, measurement, perspective, and responsibility) as lenses to formulate effective questions and critically examine psychological research and claims. Throughout the year, students will engage in required class practicals, which are practical activities undertaken by both SL and HL students to support guided critical discussion of each research approach. HL extensions and research methodologies will remain embedded within the teaching of the contexts, further strengthening students’ evaluative and analytical skills.
