The Acton Food Pantry provides 4 days of dry and fresh food, and if available also diapers, wipes, baby food and basic household products. It is located at 235 Summer Road Boxborough is open on: Wednesdays from 10am-7pm and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am [closed the 4th week of each month]. Drive-through service. No appointment necessary. New clients are welcome (registration info here). Reachable by Acton CAT and Boxborough MART bus. For people who have a transportation barrier there is limited home delivery service available (978) 635-9295.
Open Table's pantry in Maynard is operating as an open-air drive-thru service. Volunteers bring pre-packed bags of groceries to cars, respecting social distancing guidelines. Pre-order groceries online through link below.

Every Wednesday evening Mt Calvary Community Supper (472 Massachusetts Ave in Acton with entrance in the rear off Prospect St.) provides a hot meal, restaurant stye, for all. Indoor (handicap accessible), sit-down dinner where you can enjoy the company of others. Doors open at 4:15 with the meal starting at 4:30-5:45pm.
The Little Free Pantry is stocked and open to be accessible to anyone at any time. We give without expectations or strings attached, neighbors helping neighbors. Guest Table at First Parish Church serves a free community dinner on the second Friday of each month. All are welcome—families with children, adults living alone, couples, friends, and seniors. Enjoy a delicious meal at 353 Great Rd in Stow MA. Doors open at 5 PM, dinner is served at 5:30 PM.
Each month they serve 60-100 guests from over 15 towns in the metrowest area. Dinners are nut free, with vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Facility is wheelchair accessible.
If you could use a hand with dinner one night in the coming weeks, sign up on their website . Local volunteers are eager to cook a meal to support their neighbors.
Minuteman Senior Services' Meals on Wheels (MOW) program delivers lunch to homebound seniors who are unable to provide their own meals, and who meet certain guidelines. Learn more and inquire on their website.
WIC provides nutritional support to purchase healthy food for children under age 5 and pregnant women. Income guidelines apply. Some families are automatically eligible for WIC if they receive TAFDC, SNAP or certain MassHealth plans.
The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) administers SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, formerly known as Food Stamps. The AB Farmers Market matches SNAP benefits with a weekly $25 SNAP match funded by ABFN Supporters. Use your EBT card and SNAP account to buy fresh, local foods at the market every Sunday during the ABFM season (June 16 - October 13, 2024).
For example, if an EBT card user debits their card $25, ABFN will match $25, and they will end up with $50 in SNAP scrips to spend at market!
