Nursery Values, Vision and Aims

At Scotstown Nursery, we share the same core values as the school:

Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience—but we express them in ways that feel friendly and meaningful for our youngest learners.

• Respect becomes Kind – We encourage children to be kind to themselves and others, showing care and consideration in everything they do.

• Responsibility becomes Helpful – We help children learn to take responsibility by being helpful, looking after their environment, and supporting their friends.

• Resilience becomes Brave – We celebrate bravery when children try new things, keep going when something feels tricky, and learn from their experiences.

These values guide everything we do in ELC and help children develop the skills and attitudes that will support them throughout their learning journey.
