This year, we are excited to be trialling our House Points System for the first time, and it has been wonderful to see how enthusiastically pupils have embraced it.
All pupils belong to one of our four houses: Balgownie, Donmouth, Murcar or Westfield. Children can earn points throughout the school year by demonstrating our school values, engaging positively with their learning, and for being a positive rolemodel in our school. Points can also be awarded for effort, kindness and teamwork, helping to build a strong sense of pride and community across the school.
At the start of the year, House Captains and Vice Captains were selected through an interview process, giving pupils the opportunity to take on leadership roles and represent their house. These pupils act as positive role models and help to encourage teamwork and motivation within their houses.
The house system has created a real buzz around the school, with pupils keen to earn points and support each other. After Term 1 and Term 2, we are pleased to announce that the winning house was Donmouth — congratulations to all pupils in Donmouth for their fantastic effort!
