Design Your Own Website

Problem Description:

You have been asked to create a website that is about a television series or film that you like. The website is to have three pages, but you are to decide what will go on each page. (For example, you might have a home pages, a cast page and a plot summary page)

Your website has to be multimedia. It should include different types of information, including text, pictures, sound and video.

Your website should be easy to navigate. It should include hyperlinks that lead to other pages and a navigation bar that helps users find the pages that they want.

Your website should be well designed. It should make good use of formatting and colours that make the website readable and attractive to look at. The layout of each page should be well thought out and uncluttered.

Your teacher will provide you with the Design Your Own Website Worksheet via Google Classroom.

Show your ability to use WebPlus to create websites by:

• Including text
• Including pictures
• Including audio or video
• Including a navigation bar
• Including hyperlinks

Additionally, show the following advanced skills to achieve level 4

• Use external and internal hyperlinks
• Use a master page to make parts of the website appear on each page automatically
• Complete your website so it matches your design, or you are able to justify why there have been changes from your design

• Work out what files you will require for your website
• Collect and list the information you require
• Include the required information in your website

Your worksheet and website should be submitted electronically via Google Classroom. Hand in your paper wireframe diagram to your teacher.
