Our House

Graphics packages like Paint work by making pictures out of lots of little dots called pixels.

You are going to learn about some of the limitations such graphics packages have by trying the following tasks:

Exercise 1:

Using the tools you have learned about in the lolcats exercise, try to draw the following image of a house:

Exercise 2:

Now modify your existing house picture so that the tree is moved to the side of the house and the car is moved behind the house. Your modified picture should look something like this:

What difficulties did you encounter?

Extension Exercise:

Experiment with Serif DrawPlus - the tools are similar to those used in Paint. Try to repeat exercises 1 & 2 with Serif DrawPlus. Are they easier or harder to complete in DrawPlus?
