In March, you will complete a coursework assignment under open book exam conditions in class. This is out of 50 marks and makes up a little over 30 percent of your final mark. You will be tested on your programming, databases and web pages practical skills

Preparing For The Coursework Assignment

You will get the chance to prepare for the coursework assignment before completing it: Your teacher will go over model answers to the specimen coursework in the same way as model past paper answers can be used to prepare for your final exam. This will give you an idea of what kind of standards the markers will expect from your coursework.

You will also be given a practice coursework task to complete in class time before attempting the actual coursework. This will help you develop the ability to use your previously completed class work to complete coursework type problems

Finally, your teacher will go over some useful techniques and links for completing the coursework task.

The important thing to remember is that while the coursework is under exam conditions and your teacher is not allowed to help you, it is also open book. You are allowed to access anything you have been previously taught or done in class. That includes this very page you are reading right now.
