Chief of Staff

Greetings!  First, I would like to echo Fire Chief Wolford’s earlier comments about all the great progress that the amazing men and women of your Anne Arundel County Fire Department have achieved this past year 2023!

I am pleased to share that the Office of the Fire Chief (OFC) has an incredible team that supports the Department’s Executive Management Team also known as the Command Staff. These important Command Staff members are responsible for developing strategic policies and initiatives, charting a course forward, and are the decision-makers of our department’s bright future. Our OFC team members have a critical role and in doing so take great pride in supporting the Command Staff by providing a wide variety of professional, administrative services to include, but not limited to, timely dissemination of accurate information, coordination, and support of ongoing department projects, retirement presentations, promotional ceremonies, award ceremonies, Firefighter Line-of-Duty Deaths ceremonies, community events, and numerous special invents, etc.  

OFC team members are outstanding professionals and first-class customer service is the top priority. We treat everyone here like family and close friends, and we want to ensure all department members and the public are treated with the utmost respect and courtesy that makes Anne Arundel County the Best Place for All!

Yes, we pride ourselves in being an exciting, dynamic organization supporting several important initiatives, programs, and projects while at the same time maintaining excellent service delivery. However, it is always good to pause once in a while to regularly assess and ensure that we are continuing in the right direction by looking back to see how far our fine organization has come with all the improvements that have positively impacted our department members, our residents, and our visitors to Anne Arundel County.
