Power of Shapes

This Assignment is due by the end of class.

If you do not complete it, please complete it for homework due on: Noack, P3 & P5 Tuesday, 9/21

 Use what you know about manipulating non-objective shapes and space to create four compositions that describe the following emotions:

• 1. Danger

  2. Safety

  3. Lonely

  4. Crowded

You must have a good balance of black/white, positive/negative space. Remember to think about the concept of the "Notan".

• Please use four 4” x 4” black squares and white squares, cutting your black to go on the white. 

• OPTIONAL: use black sharpie on four white papers to create your composition.

• Please stick to non-objective imagery.

• Please keep your four squares separate and put your name and class section on the back.

• Place each of the four squares in the appropriate bin.
