Four Collage Techniques to include in your Photo Montage:
Juxtaposition/fragmentation
Point of View
Scale Change
Overlapping
Steps:
Look through the Beijing Students' work and download images to a folder on your desktop that appeal to you. Be sure to use their "Village" photos so that the "Clash" will be obvious.
Find several images; it's better to have many, you may not use some.
Look through your photos and find ones that you think would be interesting to combine with the ones from the Beijing students.
At this point you should start thinking about which one you want to use as a background image.
Using selection, cropping, erasing, cloning and other editing tools in Photoshop, combine your images to create a "Culture Clash".
Next:
Use a 10 x 8 size document, 72 resolution
You need to combine at least 10 different images onto your background.
You must demonstrate your understanding of the four Collage techniques above in your Photo Montage.
Photoshop Skills should demonstrate quality craftsmanship (cutting, selecting, erasing, etc.)
